Mushroom Extracts

Medicinal mushrooms have been used for thousands of years to boost qi (life energy), remedy exhaustion and weakness, prevent aging, and as antitumor agents. Currently, mushrooms are extracted for its polysaccharide compounds by medical researchers for their potential cancer inhibiting properties. In addition, these compounds have been shown to potentially support immune function and to possibly decrease the side effects brought on by various conventional cancer therapies.

These compounds are derived from the mycelia of several Basidiomycetes mushroom species and has studied as a treatment in various health conditions, including cancer, with positive results. Compromised immune function is the mutual cause of disease. Polysaccharides can provide strong immune support and is thought to decrease the side effects brought on by various conventional cancer therapies.

In one notorious study, patients who took AHCC showed a significantly higher survival time, quality of life, mental stability, general physical health and three times lower rates of cancer recurrence compared to the control group. Other studies show tumor reduction and stabilization with AHCC supplementation and better nutrition.
